Associate spokesperson for Finance, SOE's, Foreign Affairs & Trade. Member of the Local Government & Environment select committee.

Mayor of North Shore City (2007-2010), New Zealand's 4th largest city, bringing about significant positive changes and improvements for the city. Prior to that Local Government experience as a city councillor (2001-2004), community board member (2001-2007), and North Shore Hearings Commissioner (2001-2010)

Earlier career dating back to 1977 involved international trade, meat exports, shipping and airfreight. Nine years as Trade Commissioner for Belgium and Luxembourg based in NZ, which included extensive consular and diplomatic activities as the Honorary Vice Consul of Belgium.
